Transition days and Parents' Induction Meeting
We hope to welcome our new pupils to our academy site on Wednesday 7 and Thursday 8 July 2021 (but obviously this is subject to change depending on the latest government advice relating to the Coronavirus pandemic.)
These are usually fun days which help our pupils get a sense of our school, how it is laid out and how it operates. They will get a chance to meet a number of new teachers and hopefully their Head of Year, Deputy Head of Year and Form Tutor for 2021-22.
We are expecting 162 pupils from over 50 different primary schools in September. Although this might mean your daughter does not know many people that are coming to NGA, everyone is in the same situation and keen to make new friends. Our transition days are a great way to makes sure there will be a few more familiar faces on the first day of school in September.
We know some pupils will benefit from some additional transition visits. These are usually arranged with parents and primary schools by our SEND team after the initial visits/contact with families.
Parent Induction Meeting
We also hope to host an induction meeting for parents on Wednesday 7 July at 5.30pm (again subject to change).
This is a chance for us to share our Mission and Values, Curriculum Intent and basic expectations about uniform and attendance with our new parents - and, more importantly, for them to ask us any questions they may have.
