Governance is provided by the Greenwood Academies Trust. Regular, focussed assurance visits take place and the reports from these are scrutinised by the Trust Board and its subgroups.
The Trust is in the process of establishing Regional Governance Committees (RGCs) in each of the hubs where it has academies – these RGCs will be linked directly to the Trust Board and will perform several important functions of non-executive governance.
To compliment this, each academy is developing a comprehensive parental and community engagement strategy. These strategies will aim to be flexible enough to serve different community needs and will ensure a consistently strong parental voice across the whole of the trust that can influence the work of the Trust Board and Trust Members.
