All Pupils in Yr 8, 9 & 10 to Work From Home
Extended closure details...
Update: 4 December 2020
EXTENDED CLOSURE OF THE YEAR 8, 9 AND 10 BUBBLES
Unfortunately, due to ongoing self-isolation measures and associated staff shortages, we are unable to welcome pupils in these year groups back as planned and are now provisionally aiming to reopen all three bubbles (years 8, 9 and 10) on Monday 14 December 2020.
Furthermore, all pupils in Year 9 should continue to self-isolate up to and including Thursday 10 December 2020.
Pupils in Year 7, 11 and the 6th Form should continue to attend as usual.
Working From Home
Pupils working from home should continue to follow their normal timetable and access lessons via Teams. Further details on how to do this can be found in our Home Learning Hub.
Further details have been emailed to all parents and can be found in the letter at the bottom of this page.
Update: 30 November 2020
CLOSURE OF THE YEAR 9 BUBBLE
On our return to school after this weekend, we have been advised of five additional positive cases of Covid-19 in the Year 9 bubble.
Using our robust contact tracing processes, we have identified the children that have been in close contact with the affected people. This would include almost all of the pupils in the bubble and, in keeping with the latest national guidance and Public Health England advice, we have made the decision that it would be sensible for all Year 9 pupils to stay at home and self-isolate, as a precautionary measure, up to and including Thursday 10 December 2020.
As long as they are well and not showing any symptoms of Covid-19, they should return to school on Friday 11 December 2020.
Further details can be found in the letter below.
Update: 29 November 2020
CLOSURE OF THE YEAR 8 AND YEAR 10 BUBBLES
Due to a large number of academy staff having to self-isolate following instructions from Test and Trace, we are asking all pupils in Year 8 and Year 10 to work from home for the week beginning 30th November 2020.
Pupils in Year 7, Year 11 and the Sixth Form should continue to attend as usual.
Pupils working from home will be expected to attend lessons online via Teams. Further details of this can be found in our Home Learning Hub.
Further details can be found in the letter sent to all parents via email this evening. A copy of this letter can also be found below.
